KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Tuesday having 48570.95 points with a positive change of 50.20 and volume of 87,720,890 shares.

High and Low were 48636.35 and 48146.68 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 228,603,590 shares with 380 total traded companies out of which 162 were up 212 were down and 6 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 33,062,500 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 29,122,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were Sui North Gas with a volume of 11,099,000 and price per share of 120.00 (4.70), B.O.Punjab with a volume 9,965,500 of price per share of 15.25 (0.47), Lotte Chemical with a volume 8,257,500of price per share of 10.83 (0.32).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 7800.00 (90.00), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1297.49 (61.78) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 2400.00 (50.00).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 9155.00 (295.00), Unilever Foods with price per share of 5750.00 (75.00) and Ghandhara Ind. share of 870.00 (31.38).
