Kangana Ranaut while speaking her mind in a recent interview took a dig at her contemporaries Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who just headed to west for the big Hollywood projects.
In a recent interview to Mid-Day, the actress put forth her views about Hollywood endeavors. Kangana deemed it stupid to head to the West at a time when their theatre business is crashing. "It would be stupid for anyone to make the move to the West now. Their theatre business is crashing because of the influx of digital media. Asia, on the other hand, is where Hollywood was 15 years ago. It is a lucrative time for entertainment here. These are baits that I wont fall prey to".
"I'm all for world cinema, but it needs to be a film that brings employment and money into our country. I dont wish to offer myself on a platter to another industry," she added.
All throughout 2016, Kangana Ranaut grabbed headlines because of the mutual mud-slinging between her and actor Hrithik Roshan. While Kangana insisted that Hrithik had an illicit relationship with her behind closed doors, Hrithik vehemently denied of anything of that sort ever happened.
The three times National award winner will now be seen in a war-drama 'Rangoon' with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is slated to release on February 24, 2017.
