 FAISALABAD: The government has set its priorities to provide gas to all sectors without any discrimination.

This was stated by Managing Director (MD) Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Arif Hameed while talking to a delegation of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

The MD Sui Gas rejected the impression of three months gas closure for industrial sector and said that all sectors would be provided gas according to their fixed quota under the decision of the federal cabinet.

He said that Pakistan was facing severe gas shortfall. Hence we should play our role voluntarily to save gas for greater national interest, Arif Hameed said and appealed to the general public to use alternative resources boiling water and making room temperature up.

Muzzammal Sultan president FCCI informed the MD Sui Gas about problems being confronted by the industrial sector due to outage of gas and electricity.

He said energy was essential to run industrial and its uninterrupted supply could help in increasing national exports in addition to resolv financial problems of labour class.

Among other members of FCCI delegation include FCCI Vice President Rehan Naseem Bharara, former president Mian Farhan Lateef, Mian Shabbir Ahmad, Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmad, Hajji Talib Husain Rana, Mian Ajmal Farooq and Azhar Majeed.
