PESHAWAR: Legislators of all parliamentary political parties of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Friday paid tributes to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) and called for joint efforts of the law-enforcement agencies and government for success in the war against terrorism.
The provincial assembly which resumed proceeding after a break of one day with Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair abolished its schedule agenda for the day to pay tributes to the martyrs of APS.
Taking the floor of the house, Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Inayatullah Khan said that the sacrifices of the children of APS should not be merely looked at the figure of 150 as those children have given sacrifice for the future of the nation.
The martyrs of APS, the senior minister said with their sacrifices united all political parties against the terrorism and said that their sacrifices should not go into waste in any circumstances.
During the proceeding, Mufti Said Janan of JUI-F offered collective prayers for the martyrs of APS and said that the children of the APS had got the highest honour of martyrdom. However, he said that whatever borne by their fathers was very hard.
Similarly, Ahmad Khan Bahadar ANP, Raja Faisal Zaman (PML-N) and Fakhre Azam Wazir of PPP also paid tributes to the martyred students and said that the whole nation is on the same page regarding the tragedy. They said that National Action Plan (NAP) is being implemented after the martyrdom of these children, which would be further accelerated.
