Student found dead in LUMS hostel room

imageLAHORE: A student of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) was found dead in his hostel room, Lahore police said on Tuesday.

According to latest media reports, the hostel administration after finding the dead body called police. The police informed the student identified as Shameer Asif Bajwa belonged to Karachi and was student of Accounting and Finance in his fifth semester at the university in Lahore. The dead body was shifted to hospital for autopsy.

Police said that his room was also searched and some of his personal gathering including cigarettes were sent to lab for examination.

Police sources further said that it seems that Shameer died due to drug overdose but added that the final conclusion can be only given once the post-mortem is done.
