KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 44741.98 points with a positive change of 246.99 and volume of 135,928,760 shares.

High and Low were 44836.10 and 44447.89 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 368,243,760 shares with 384 total traded companies out of which 129 were up 235 were down and 20 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 122,134,800 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 25,365,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 31,298,000 and price per share of 15.47 (0.80), Dewan Motors with a volume 7,984,000 of price per share of 39.20 (1.86), Invest Bank with a volume 7,926,000 of price per share of 2.58 (0.24).

The top three advancers were Mari Petroleum with price per share 1186.10 (56.48), Siemens Pak. price per share of 1146.14 (54.57) and Khyber Tobacco share of 1200.00 (45.02).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2117.00 (88.00), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4711.07 (81.93) and Indus DyeingXD share of 849.00 (40.00).
