Power tariffs increased by record Rs.3.04/unit

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved to hike power tariffs by Rs. 3.04 per unit, which is a record hike in the national history.

The highest raise in power tariffs was approved for the month of August under monthly fuel adjustment.

The recent hike will be applicable to all the electricity users except the lifeline consumers.

According to the NEPRA sources, Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) requested for hike of Rs. 3.06.
