imageISLAMABAD: Capacity of the Adhi Field has significantly increased to produce gas, natural gas liquid (NGL), liquified petroleum gas (LPG) with the commencement of its third plant, official sources in Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) said Thursday.

The newly inaugurated plant-III has the potential to produce 25mmscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) gas, 5,300bbld (billion barrels liquid per day) NGL, and 150 mtd (metric ton per day) LPG, they told APP.

Now, with inception of the Plant-III, Adhi Field's production capacity is standing at 75 mmscfd gas, 10,300bbld NGL and 290mtd LPG, the sources informed.

Adhi Field is a joint venture of PPL, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Pakistan Oil fields Limited (POL).

Commenting on future activities, they said that PPL was conducting a new reservoir simulation study, adding that additional six to eight development wells would be required to enhance production of the field. "Wellhead compression and exploration of sub-thrust is planned in 2017," they added.
