No forced load-shedding in IESCO region

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has clarified a news item appeared in a section of press regarding unscheduled load shedding in Rawalpindi and said that no forced and un-scheduled load shedding was being carried out in Rawalpindi.

The spokesperson said that only schedule load shedding six and 8 hours was being observed in Urban and rural areas respectively.

Owing to less load demand during night hours mostly relief is being given to the areas under the jurisdiction of IESCO.

However, it is clarified that due to momentary tripping on 132 KV Grid station Adyala, kamaabad and Chaklala the electricity supply of Adyala Road and surrounding areas remained interrupted for just 5 minutes.
