Power shortfall rises to 4,360 MW

ISLAMABAD; The electricity shortfall in the country on Sunday climbed to 4,360MW as the total power generation was recorded at 14,748MW against the demand of 19,100MW during the last 24 hours.

According to the PEPCO, as daily power generation and load- management position 5,900 MW were being produced by hydro power plants while thermal providing 2,200 MW, IPPs 6,500 MW and rental 134 MW, a private TV channel reported.

As many as 780 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company, the report further said.
