imageKARACHI: Four ship C.V Vienna, C.V Posen, M.T Ping An an M.T Jixiang carrying containers and palm oil were berthed at Qasim Internaitonal Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Sunday.

Meanwhile three more ships with containers, general cargo and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qsim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 71 percent on Sudnay, where eleven ships namely ships Vienna, C.V Posen, C.V MSC Albany, M.V Danos-Z, M.V Sea Luck-II, M.V Flagmersinal, M.T Jixiang, m.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Pacific Stream and M.T Al Salam-II are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, sunflowers seeds, wheat, palm oil, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 96,797 tonnes, comprises 67,937 tonnes imports ad 28,860 tonnes exports ainclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,471 containrs (TEUs) (2,411 imports and 1,209 exports TEUs) were handled at the port.

Five ships C.V Posen, C.V MSC Albany, M.V Danos-Z, M.T Pacific Stream and M.T Al-Salam-II sailed out to sea on Monday morning while another ship C.V Veinna is expected to sail on same day.

Four ships C.V Safmarine Ngami, M.T Ashahda, m.V Mona and m.V BBC Ontario carrying containers, palm oil, steel product and general cargo are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, MW-2 MW-3 respectively on Monday, while containers ships 'Asir' and 'CMA CGM Debussy are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, 'CMA CGM Corneille' & 'Maersk Hartfor' are due to arrive Wednesday.
