China stock marketSHANGHAI: China shares rose 0.4 percent on Friday, supported by construction companies even though large cap property firms sagged after China announced more tightening measures to curb price rises in the red-hot real estate market.

The Shanghai Composite ended at 2,820.2 points, the highest level since late May, after rising 0.5 percent on Thursday. The index climbed 0.8 percent for the week.

China's cabinet on Thursday extended home purchase restrictions to more cities and reminded local governments to keep in place measures to tighten the property market.
