KARACHI: Four ships arrived at the Port to load/ offload containers at QICT, cement at MW, palm oil at LCT, LPG at VTL on Friday, port sources said here on Saturday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 85% at the port on Friday where twelve ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey - Powership, M.V NPS Mosa, M.V Martha Schulte, M.V Tessa, M.V Ocean IV (Barge), M.T Turk Gaz, M.V Xin Minib (Barge), M.T Histria Agata, M.T Sona Eagle, M.V Mandrian Ocean, M.V Beagle-VI are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, cement, palm oil, LPG, MEG, rape seed, fertiliser.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the port where a cargo volume of 51283 tonnes comprising 25665 tonnes import, 25615 tonnes export and 1339 TUEs was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
M.T Histria Agata sailed on Friday. M,.V Martha Schulte, M.T Turk Gaz, M.V Tessa sailed on Saturday.
M.T Maple at MW-1, M.V Maule at QICT, M.V Maritime Newanda at MW-4, are expected to arrive on Saturday.
