ISTANBUL: The Turkish lira hit its weakest level in more than six months at 2.25 against the dollar on Thursday as the U.S. currency hovers near four-year highs against peers globally.
Uncertainity across Turkey's southern border in Syria as the U.S. launches air strikes against Islamic State militants is a secondary risk factor for the lira, investors have said.
