KARACHI: Four ships C.V Maerk Harttord, C.V Pona, M.T Stolt Markland and M.T Quetta carrying containers, chemicals and furnace oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminals respectively Port Qasim on Sunday 13th July. Meanwhile Two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 64% on Sunday where nine ships namely C.V Maersk Harlfold, C.V Pona, C.V Msc Antigua, M.V Ocean Royal, M.V Moon Ray, M.C Mega Lahori, M.T Stolt Markland, M.T Theresa Leo and M.T Quetta were occupied at PQA berths to load/offlaod containers, cement, coal, chemicals, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 86,298 tonnes comprises 70,205 tonnes imports and 16,093 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,870 containers (TEUs) (1,023 imports and 847 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port.
Departures: Container ship 'MSC' Antigua' sailed out to sea on Monday morning while two more ships M.T Stolt Markland and C.V Pona are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Arrival Schedule: Four ships C.V Msc Atlanta, C.V Safmarine Ngami, M.T Mercur and M.T Anna Maria carrying containers, chemicals and fertilizer are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL and FAP respectively on Monday, 14th July, 2014.
