ISLAMABAD: Hydel generation has significantly increased owing to more water discharge from Tarbela and Mangla dams and on Tuesday it stood at 4,350 MW.
According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), the power shortfall in the country further surged to 3,300 MW from 3,100 MW as the total generation was recorded as 13,300 MW against the demand of 16,600 MW at 09:00 hours.
The hydel generation stood at 4,350 MW, Wapda Thermal 2,000 MW, Wind 6 and Independent power producers (IPPs) 6950 MW.
