KARACHI: Three ships C.V CMA CGM Bellini, M.V The Osfylaktos and M.V Rickmers Mumbai carrying containers, Rapeseeds and general cargo were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
Meanwhile four more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at thirty six percent on Wednesday where five ships namely C.V CMA CGM Bellini, M.V Diamond Star, M.V Observator, M.V The Osfylaktos and M.V Rickmers Mumbai are occupying at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, rape seeds and general cargo respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 37,917 tonnes comprises 12,948 tonnes imports and 24,969 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,377 containers (TEUs) (669 imports and 708 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port last 24 hours.
Container Vessel CMA CGM Bellini is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Four ships C.V Hammonia Pacificum, M.T Chembulk Minneapolis, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.V MPP Shield carrying containers, chemicals and general cargo are expected to take berths at Qict, Evtl, MW-1 and MW-2 respectively on Thursday.
