KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, general cargo, chemical and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminals, Engro vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday.
Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers, wheat and general cargo also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Monday where a total six ships namely Maersk Denver, Inlaco Brave, Jia Rum, Malakand, Norgas Petaluma and Iron Lady are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, rape seed, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 39070 tonnes comprising 32413 tonnes imports and 6657 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 725 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
