ISLAMABAD: Sartaj Aziz's trip to Kabul will help repair the trust deficit and improve bilateral ties between the two countries.
Talking to Radio channel, experts of different shades of opinion said that terrorism is a common enemy of both the countries added that resumption of dialogue process and exchange of visits will enable the two countries to take a united stand for getting rid of the menace.
Under these circumstances, the visit to Kabul by PM advisor on national security and foreign affairs is expected to yield positive results and in that sense it can be termed as a productive and successful one, experts told.
Sartaj Aziz's visit to Kabul is the first ever diplomatic contact since tension in relations between the two countries erupted over tough statements delivered by the high-ranking Afghan officials about Pakistan.
Solutions of problems, if any between the two countries, are possible to find through table talks.
"The visit can be termed as a success in the sense that it has opened up the door of contacts between the two brotherly neighbouring countries. It is expected that the negotiation process which had earlier been stalled for some time, will resume soon. A summit level meeting is also expected to be held soon as President Hamid Karzai is reported to have conditionally accepted the invitation by Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif to visit Pakistan", they added.
