ISLAMABAD: The preparations for commemorating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) are gaining momentum and roads and buildings are being decorated with colourful buntings, banners and fancy lights in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Large banner and gigantic billboards are being displayed across the cities to celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Mosques, homes and plazas are being decorated with colourful lights and buntings.
In Islamabad, the main procession would start from Police Ground G/7. In case of rain the procession would emerge from Mosque Jamia Al-Raza, Markaz G/7. Before the procession a Milad un Nabi conference would be held.
An International 'Milad' Mustafa rally would be taken out from Rawat on Sunday. The rally would culminate at G/9 Karachi Company after passing through Islamabad Highway.
Special programmes are being prepared for paying tributes and to highlight different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
On Rabi-ul-Awal 12, Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions would also be taken out from different areas of Rawalpindi. 'Milad' Committees are also busy in finalizing schedule of 'Mahafil-e-Naat'.
Various social, cultural, educational institutions and religious organisations are finalising their programmes for celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious fervour.
All bazaars, commercial shopping centres, government and private buildings are being illuminated. All the official departments - TMA, WASA, WAPDA, Sui Northern Gas, PTCL and Solid Waste Management are directed to give every possible help and clear the routes of the procession.
