KARACHI: Four ships namely C.V Maersk Kalamata, C.V Abu Dhabi, M.V Liberty Eagle and M.T Bhairavi scheduled to load / offload containers, wheat, rice and chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, FAP and EVTL respectively on Tuesday, said a report issued by PQA.
Two ships C.V MSC Levina and M.V Amira Nadia sailed out to sea on Tuesday, morning while another ship M.T Meta is expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Oil tanker "Lahore" and Container ship " Nedlloyd Tasman" carrying Containers and Furnace Oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Fotco Oil Terminal respectively during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, two more ships C.V Maersk Kalamata and M.T Bhairavi also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at thirty six percent on Monday where five ships namely C.V Nedlloyd Tasmantina, C.V MSC Levina, M.V Meta, M.V Amira Nadia and M.T Lahore are currently occupying at berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Wheat and Furnace oil during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 79,746 tonnes, comprises 56,307 tonnes Imports and 23,439 tonnes Exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,302 Containers (1,171 Import and 1,131 Export TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
