Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Shibli Faraz took oath on Tuesday as the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting.

President Arif Alvi administered the oath to him at the President House.

On Monday, Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry took to his Twitter handle and announced the appointment of Faraz as information minister. He also announced the appointment of retired Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa as special assistant to the prime minister (SAPM) for information. Bajwa has replaced Firdous Ashiq Awan.
