Inclusion of Moin Khan’s son in PSL3 isn’t going down well with fans

The PSL Draft 2018 ended with much pomp and glory on Sunday as the six franchises picked up their squads that will be seen in the upcoming third edition next year.

However, much attention was drawn towards Azam Khan, who was picked by Quetta Gladiators in the supplementary category.

The selection of Azam Khan, son of Moin Khan who is also the coach of the Gladiators, raised questions of nepotism and merit, as fans took to social media to voice their opinion.

Many questioned why players such as Fawad Alam, Awais Zia weren’t picked by any franchise.

Once @TheRealPCB realised that Azam Khan was not eligible for selection on age grounds and his name was included in the squad “inadvertently” in #U19Squad 2016.

However, not all were against Azam's inclusion, as some believe that the youngster deserves a chance and his performance will be seen in the tournament.

Let's not body shame Azam Khan. Apparently, he is a kid. Also note, he is a supplementary player, not even in the emerging category. However, out of remaining 176 Pakistani players, QG could pick someone else.
