Cherat Packaging commissions second barrier film extrusion line

Cherat Packaging Limited (CPPL) commissioned a new Barrier Film Extrusion Line, significantly boosting its Flexible Packaging Division's production capacity to better meet customer demand.

Cherat Packaging Limited (CPPL), one of the largest producers and suppliers of packaging material to the cement industry in Pakistan, said on Monday that it had successfully installed and commissioned its second extrusion plant, a barrier film extrusion line, along with related equipment for its flexible packaging division.
The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange today.
“The company has acquired the Extrusion Plant from Windmoller & Holscher, a globally recognised leader in packaging machinery,” the notice said.
The listed company said that the additional extrusion line will significantly enhance the production capacity of the flexible packaging division, enabling it to better meet customer demand while improving resource utilisation.
Incorporated as a public limited company in 1989, CPPL has a production capacity of 265 million paper bags and 195 million polypropylene bags per year.
Moreover, CPPL has expanded its business horizons by supplying packaging material to LP sugar, chemicals and other allied industries.
