NEW YORK: Canadian miner Teck Resources Limited said late on Saturday it reached a memorandum of settlement with union Local 9346 of the United Steelworkers of America, covering the Elkview coal mine.
The union ratification vote is expected to be completed by April 7, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said, giving no further details of the agreement. There has been a work stoppage at the mine since January.
