KARACHI: Medical superintendent of the Civil Hospital was beaten up by young doctors in Gujranwala on Wednesday in protest of non-disbursement of their salaries.
The doctors were protesting against the provincial health department not releasing their salaries.
MS Civil Hospital Anwar Aman was manhandled by the young doctors when they attacked his office. They beat up other senior doctors as well.
Local police have arrested President of Young Doctors Association Kashif Bilal, and raided the hostel to arrest other doctors.
Meanwhile, the young doctors have stopped working in OPDs of all the major hospitals in the province.
