ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of China to Pakistan called on Interior Minister Rehman Malik and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Malik said Pakistan highly valued its relations with China, which was a reliable friend.
He said Sino-Pak friendship had stood the test of time, and had always lived up to all challenges.
The minister highly praised the courage and bravery of Chinese engineers working on different projects in Pakistan, and said Pakistan valued their meritorious services.
He commended the generous assistance of China to Pakistan during the devastating floods last year.
Malik said in recognition of their services, two Chinese workers had been awarded by Pakistan, which would further boost Sino-Pak friendship.
The Minister said colourful folk and cultural programmes would be organised in Pakistan in connection with 60th anniversary of China.
The Chinese Envoy, reciprocating the remarks of Interior Minister, said China attached great importance to its ties and friendship with Pakistan, adding it would be further strengthened in the days ahead.
He expressed gratitude to the minister for providing security to the Chinese engineers in Pakistan.
