SHANGHAI: Chinese shares slipped 0.20 percent in early trade Thursday as investors sold chips considered overbought after they announced disappointing 2010 earnings, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 5.80 points at 2,949.97.
The Shanghai A-share index shed 0.20 percent, or 6.16 points, to 3,088.83, while the Shenzhen A-share index was flat, edging down 0.20 points to 1,323.21.
