ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Stock Exchange on Friday witnessed bearish trend as the index was down by 3.23 points to close at 3071.93 as compared to the previous day's trading.
The profit-taking was seemed in the local stock market which led the closing of market at negative zone, said Stock Analyst, Ibrahim while talking to APP.
He said that aside this, there was not any negative sentiments in the market but the cement and banking sectors were to be expected to perform better due to positive earnings, he added.
Total volume of shares traded was 264,000, which was up by 81,900 when compared it with a day earlier's closing.
Lot PTA, LPCL and BOP remained volume leaders on Friday with volume of 71,000, 57,000 and 49,500 shares respectively.
