German refinery unaffected by Libya

LONDON: Libyan oil refiner Tamoil's German Holborn refinery is operating at a reduced rate of 80 percent of capacity, a spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday, denying speculation it had been hit by upheaval in Libya.

"The refinery is operating on reduced mode as it has for the past year, and the reduction in capacity is unrelated to recent events in Libya," a Tamoil spokesman said, denying reports by traders that runs had been cut due to trouble buying crude oil.
