LAHORE : Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 14.07 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4154.18 and closed at 4140.11 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.409 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.057 million shares, showing an upward move of 352,600 shares. While, out of the total 101 active scrips 28 moved up, 26 shed values and 47 remined equal.
Engro Foods Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 4.36, Rs. 1.25 and Rs. 1.08 respectively.
Pak Electron Limited, Pakistan Telecommunication Limited and Faysal Bank Limited lost their per share value by Re. 0.94, Re. 0.92 and Re 0.70 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 591,000 shares, Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 440,500 shares and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 289,000 shares.
