PESHAWAR: Bombers attacked a police patrol on Monday, killing two officers and wounding two others on the outskirts of the main northwestern city of Peshawar, police said.
The remote-controlled bomb targeted a van on a routine patrol in Shahabkhel village of Peshawar's Badhaber suburb.
"The bomb destroyed the police van and killed two policemen," Imran Shahid, a senior police official told AFP.
Zarshed Khan, a bomb disposal expert, said two kilograms of explosives were used in the device and that two policemen were also wounded.
