ISLAMABAD: Minister of State Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday expressed the confidence that Bahrain will be able to overcome the present difficulties in the spirit of security, peace and reconciliation.
She was talking to Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa who called on her here at Foreign Office today.
The Foreign Minister of Bahrain arrived here on Monday on two day visit to Pakistan.
The two ministers comprehensively reviewed the close, friendly and fraternal bilateral relations, holding Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission, strategic dialogue, and matters relating to GCC including Free Trade Agreement.
They also exchanged views on the situation in the region and safety and security of Pakistanis in Bahrain.
Hina Rabbani Khar said, "Pakistan supported the Bahraini process of reconciliation."
She said, "Pakistan has welcomed the initiative of His Majesty King of Bahrain for an inclusive dialogue with all segments of the society to promote harmony and reconciliation."
Foreign Minister of Bahrain invited the Minister of State to visit Bahrain which she graciously accepted.
