LONDON: The Australian dollar fell to a two-week low against the US dollar on Thursday as concerns about the looming US fiscal cliff weighed on appetite for perceived riskier currencies.
The Australian dollar fell 0.4 percent on the day to US$1.0330, its lowest level since Oct. 30.
Traders cited unwinding of long Australian dollar positions in other currencies as another factor contributing to the Aussie's decline.
