FRANKFURT: BASF and its partner Gazprom agreed on an asset swap that will see the Russian gas company take full control of their jointly run gas trading and storage activities and give the German chemicals group more access to Siberian gas fields.
The transaction will be completed by the end of 2013 and take affect retroactively on April 1, 2013, BASF said in a statement on Wednesday.
