LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in the Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 12.43 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3979.66 and closed at 3967.23 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.506 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.626 million shares, showing a downward move of 119,700 shares. Out of the total 100 active scrips 19 moved up, 24 shed values and 57 remined equal.
Attock Refinery Limited, D.G. Khan Cement Company and Nishat Power Limited were the major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.67, Re 0.47 and Re 0.37 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation lost their per share value by Rs. 3.61, Rs. 1.53 and Rs. 1.40 respectively.
The volume leaders of the day included Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 574,500 shares, Fauji Cement Company with 568,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 400,500 shares.
