LONDON: Europe's main stock markets edged higher at the start of trading on Friday, with London's FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.03 percent to 5,777.86 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 climbed 0.22 percent to 7,220.69 points and in Paris the CAC 40 rose by 0.11 percent to 3,411.58.
