BP warns of planned flaring at L.A. refinery-filing

HOUSTON: BP Plc's 265,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles-area refinery in Carson, California, warned of planned flaring beginning on Sunday, according to a notice filed with California pollution regulators.

The flaring could last through April 15, according to the notice.

Sources familiar with refinery operation have said the refinery will be restarting a hydrotreater this week after maintenance and a hydro cracking unit was undergoing maintenance.
