BRASILIA: Brazil posted a trade surplus of $1.662 billion in October, the Trade Ministry said on Thursday, shrinking from the same month last year.
The result came below expectations of a $2 billion surplus, according to the median forecast of 17 analysts surveyed by Reuters.
Brazil had a trade surplus of $2.359 billion in October of 2011.
