SANAA: One of Yemen's most senior military officers, General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, told reporters on Monday that he had joined the protest movement against President Ali Abdallah Saleh's regime.
"We announce that we support and protect the youths who are protesting at University Square in Sanaa," the armoured infantry division commander told reporters.
