Gold surpasses Rs62,000 per tola mark

KARACHI: Gold prices on Friday touched the current year’s highest mark of Rs62,200 per tola with an increase of Rs1,400 on the local market, traders said.

 “The gold price shoot up to this year’s highest level of Rs62,200 per tola after the global market posted an increase of $45 an ounce to $1175,” they said.

The price of gold per 10 gram also went up to Rs53,314.
