JAKARTA: Indonesian firebrand cleric Abu Bakar Bashir (R) watches the court proceeding on a television monitor from a cell guarded by armed police commandos at the compound of the Jakarta court on March 21, 2011 as a witness is cross examined by judges and prosecutors thru teleconference from detention cells.

Bashir, who is facing terrorism charges, denounced the trial during a March 14 hearing where his defense counsels walked out to protest presentation of witnesses by teleconferencing.
