TOKYO: Tokyo stocks rose 0.34 percent on Monday morning, tracking gains on Wall Street last week as hopes grow for fresh economic stimulus from the US Federal Reserve.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange added 30.46 points to 9,101.22 by the break while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues inched up 0.05 percent, or 0.36 points, at 757.59.
