KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Monday granted interim pre-arrest bail for three weeks to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA Hanif Abbasi facing charges of obtaining illegal quota of ephedrine chemical.
The bench headed by Justice Maqbool Baqir after hearing arguments in the bail application allowed three weeks protective bail against a solvent surety of Rs 500,000.
Shoukat Hayat Advocate moved the application, seeking grant of pre-arrest bail to MNA Hanif Abbasi, facing charges of obtaining 500 kilograms of ephedrine illegally.
Granting interim bail, SHC bench directed Hanif Abbasi to appear before the trial court within given three weeks time.
