LAHORE: The bulls on Monday swayed Lahore Stock Exchange by once again overpowering the bears, as the exchange gained huge 153.65 points with the LSE-25 Index opened at 3614.12 and closed at 3767.77 points.
The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 4.865 million shares to close against previous turnover of only 961,800 shares, showing a quantum jump of 3.903 million shares. While, out of the total 91 ative 73 scrips 30 moved up, 32 remained equal and 11 shed values.
Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Lucky Cement Limited and Nishat Mills Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 14.09, Rs 3.18 and Rs 2.67 respectively.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Faysal Bank Limited and Bank Alfalah Limited lost their per share value by Rs 4.51, Re 0.45 and Re 0.41 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 843,000 shares, Karachi Electric Supply Company with 840,000 shares and D.G.Khan Cement Company with 825,000 shares.
