AHMEDABAD: India's spinners removed half-centurions Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor to wrest back the initiative on the third day of the first Test against New Zealand on Saturday.
McCullum fell to Pragyan Ojha after scoring a stroke-filled 65 and stitching 104 runs for the third wicket with Taylor (56) at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.
At lunch, New Zealand were 148-4, trailing the hosts by 339 runs with six wickets in hand. Jesse Ryder (six) and debutant Kane Williamson (five) were batting at the break.
