LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 36.76 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3496.13 and closed at 3459.37 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.278 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.511 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.232 million shares. While, out of the total 88 active scrips only 9 moved up, 50 remained equal and 29 shed values.
Mari Gas Company Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Company were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.01, Re 0.39 and Re 0.37 respectively.
Lucky Cement Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company lost their per share value by Rs 3.25, Rs 2.50 and Rs 1.74 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 382,534 shares, D.G.Khan Cement Company with 177,430 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 97,395 share.
