The number of positive Covid-19 cases reported in the federal capital rose to 921 on Saturday, after 55 more people were diagnosed with the deadly disease, official data revealed.

According to official data, out of 921 cases, 63 cases have been reported from Sector I-10, 58 from Lohi Bher, 55 from Tarlai, 49 from Bara Kahu, 43 from Sector I-8, 38 from Sohan, 33 from G-11, and 30 from Sector G-10.

Similarly, 26 cases were reported from Sector I-9, 26 from G-13, 26 from Shahzad Town, 22 from Sector F-7, 16 from F-10, 15 from E-11, 15 from Khana Pul, 13 from F-11, 13 from F-6, 12 from Ali Pur, 12 from Jangi Syedan, and 11 from Gokina.

Out of 100 patients recovered in the city, 23 Covid-19 patients are of Bhara Kahu, 17 from Tarlai, 11 from Sector I-10, five from Lohi Bhir, three from Ali Pur, four from Sector G-6, three each from sectors F-6, F-7, and G-9.

Similarly, two Covid-19 patients from Sector I-8, two from Sector I-9, two from Sector G-10, two from Sector G-12, two from Sector G-13, two from Sector G-7, one from Sector F-10, one from Sector G-14, one from Rawat, and one from Sohan, have also recovered.

According to official data, on May 15 total cases in the city were 866, on 14 May 822, 13 May 759, on 12 May 716, 11 May 679, 10 May 641, 9 May 609, 8 May 558, 7 May 521, 6 May 485, on 5 May 464, 4th May 415, 3rd May 393, 2nd May 365 and on 1 May 343.

Out of total 912 cases, 100 patients have so far recovered, and seven people have died. There are 81 patients admitted to six government and private hospitals, of which 30 are from the capital, and the rest are from elsewhere, an official said.

He said that 10 patients were in serious condition and 13 others had been placed on ventilators. A total of 46 people have died of Covid-19 in Islamabad, he said, adding that 39 of them were residents of other parts of the country and seven were residents of the capital.

The official said all Covid-19 patients from Islamabad who lost their lives, died at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Various teams of ICT Administration conducted 841 raids, registered 77 FIRs, arrested 131 people, sealed 96 shops, and imposed fines of Rs3,158,000 on various shops for violation of the SOPs, and selling food items at exorbitant rates.
