"Have you noted that Maryam Nawaz, the former First Daughter, has been extremely quiet lately?"

"You mean ever since First Uncle returned?"

"I find you so silly really, I mean we are human beings and our priorities change from day to day, month to month and in the long term year to year perhaps even decade to decade."

"Duh, yeah, but what is the relevance of what you said to what I said?"

"Maryam Nawaz's current priority may be to go to London and...wait, wait let me finish I hear her brothers are turning daddy against some of her pet themes so she needs to be there to counteract whatever it is they are saying..."

"I don't believe that, she is his first born and his favourite..."

"Agreed, otherwise why else would he donate nearly 80 crore rupees a year to her as and when his sons sent the money to Pakistan and make her a critical player in withdrawing money from the offshore accounts..."

"It's not a donation, if a father gives money to his child, however wealthy the child may already be, it's called...called..."

"Pocket money?"

"Don't be facetious; the distribution of the assets is ongoing because the assets are increasing and even though it's because of efforts of Nawaz Sharif's sons astute investment decisions and..."

"I give up anyway you reckon once daddy is back in her pocket she may re-bid for the party leadership?"

"Yep and may I make one suggestion to the PML-N if the party comes back to power and..."

"Not likely."

"That's what strongmen Ziaul Haq and Musharraf said about the PPP and the PML-N and look where they are! And Imran Khan is not nearly as strong as they were."

"OK, so what is your suggestion?"

"Please, please do not take Ishaq Dar as finance minister again, he is an accountant and never made the transition to finance minister, he destroyed the economy single handedly and I am not even referring to the illegal and economically unviable decision he took to repay nearly 480 billion rupees to the energy sector and gloated and boasted about it..."

"Hmmm as long as Nawaz Sharif is around, irrespective of whoever is given the party's leadership, I reckon he will veto any other finance minister."

"And that my friend is termed consistency in PML-N politics."
