Covid-19 fund: Each PALPA member to donate three-day salary

Pakistan Air Line Pilots' Association (PALPA) has announced donation of three days of basic salary for Covid-19 fund. The letter issued by Capt Ch Salman, President PALPA to the CEO Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), said: "we would like to come forward and stand shoulder to shoulder with the government. We hereby donate our three (03) days of basic salary from our members' salaries, which may be deducted at source and the same cheque may kindly be sent to PALPA enabling us to deposit in COVID-19 Fund, established by Federal Government."
He added that PALPA has always been at forefront in testing times, whenever our nation so required. Our long history is full of such instances when PALPA went out of the way and sacrificed for the sake of our country and national pride.
He also lauded the morale of the employees and recent performance of our crew, beyond the call of duty, to fly back passengers from the most vulnerable destinations with minimal protection, exemplifies our professional resolve and patriotism.
